Jacob Abah designs and runs the operations and supply-chain systems that move people, equipment, and cargo through the hardest environments, on time and on budget. Today he does it through Monetta Nexus.
My path started at the Nigerian Military School in Zaria, and carried on through the University of Jos, the University of Lagos, and Glasgow Caledonian University. The through-line has always been the same: keep complex operations moving without waste.
I have built and run logistics for some of the most demanding energy work in West Africa, from the NNPC Mosimi-Ore Pipeline rehabilitation to the Chevron and KBR Escravos Gas-to-Liquids project, and on to the West African Gas Pipeline. I bring that same discipline to my own firm, Monetta Nexus, and to the partners we deliver with, backed by first-rate European manufacturers.
People tend to trust me, and I use that to connect the right parties and get business done. In operations, relationships move as much as systems do.
Five strengths I have carried across every posting, from national oil operations to my own practice.
Getting to terms that hold. One renegotiation on my watch saved 1.4 million dollars a year.
Taking teams and processes through change without losing momentum or morale.
Stripping waste out of how work actually flows, one honest step at a time.
Keeping spend visible and disciplined against the plan, not the other way round.
The right things, in the right place, at the right time, in hard conditions.
Personnel, equipment, and cargo kept flowing across challenging environments, dependably.
Designed a preventive, predictive, corrective and proactive maintenance scheme that took travel-to-repair time to zero and cut vehicle downtime across mileage, fuel and spares by 27 percent.
Renegotiated corrective-maintenance rates with a key vendor for a 10 percent reduction, saving the company 1.4 million dollars every year.
Built commitment and involvement through a reward and incentive programme that lifted the team to its highest level of performance.
The project and supply-chain company I founded. We deliver across five sectors in partnership with first-rate European manufacturers, matching the right engineering and operational capability to each brief.
Engineering, procurement, and technical support across the upstream, midstream, and downstream.
Generation, transmission, and distribution, including renewables, energy storage, and grid upgrades.
Residential, commercial, and industrial development, from housing to warehousing and urban car parks.
Software and app development, cloud and data-centre infrastructure, and digital payment platforms.
Crop and livestock production, agro-processing, storage, and farm-to-market infrastructure and technology.
Delivered through vetted European manufacturers and a disciplined operations backbone.
Monetta Nexus works through vetted partners and manufacturers to match the right capability to each brief.
A registered business acting as agents in the wholesale of fuels, ores, metals, and industrial petroleum products, and of industrial machinery and equipment.
